This year, we actually got a chance to enjoy some of the festivities that surround Oktoberfest, in addition to the sights, sounds, and tastes! We tried to watch the mayor tap the first keg, but I guess even the early birds don’t get the Maβ…despite a tent that holds 6,000. We watched the parade instead, which brought the beer and celebrants into Theresienweise.

Can’t find any drafters for the festivities? No problem, just use the gigantic steer you have in the backyard.

Self admittedly, we didn’t ride any of the amusement rides, but the possibility exists, if you so desire. There are several things I personally won’t ever do in this picture.

I would, however, enjoy a wonderful roasted chicken and pretzel with my beer.
